Home inspection and other needed service providers
Following acceptance of the offer, scheduling a home inspection is beneficial and quite often required by lenders. This inspection ensures the property meets the standards detailed in the written offer agreement. Issues found during this process, can delay or even nullify the offer, particularly if repairs are a negotiating point of the offer to purchase contract. If this is the case, and issues were found, a “walk through” should be scheduled before closing to assure all items were repaired.
If you do not have your own, your agent can also provide a list of other service providers you will need, such as closing attorneys, mortgage lenders, insurance providers, etc.
