Define your needs in a new home

    Decide what features are important to you. It is a good idea to make two lists: one list of the features you must have and one of the features you would “like” to have in your new home. This provides a starting point for your search and gives your agent an idea of your needs so when you visit properties, your time is spent on houses that fall within at least some, if not all, of your requirements. Also, discuss the type of neighborhood or specific area you would like to live in, considering the length of your work commute, surrounding amenities, schools, churches, etc.
